In my counselling work, I take joy in helping people to build healthy relationships with themselves. I work with people dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, trauma, self harm and suicidal feelings, issues around sexual orientation or gender identity, and other emotional and interpersonal struggles. I work from a trauma-informed and intersectional approach, and my own lived experiences with trauma and mental health issues inform my practice.

I've been practicing EMDR for a few years, and find it to be one of the most transformative therapeutic approaches I've experienced. EMDR uses a prescribed structure, but we can go at your pace and I will help guide you along the journey. I'm offering EMDR virtually at the moment, which can sound off-putting, I know. The method I use involves asking you to gently tap on your body at varying speeds, and works just as well as in-person EMDR. It's surprisingly comfortable, especially when you get to stay in your own home, surrounded by the things that make you feel comfy and safe.
