I provide individual counselling and psychotherapy in-person at my office, by telephone, or virtually using a video platform. My approach is client centred and is based on anti-oppressive and trauma informed principles. I believe in empowering my clients to build on their existing strengths and providing them with the skills and tools they need to resolve their concerns successfully. I am dedicated to providing a safe space for my clients to explore and process their feelings so that they work towards greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance, which I believe are all key to emotional healing. I recognize that culture plays a major role in people’s lives and problems, therefore my approach to counselling is one where cultural factors can be comfortably discussed and respected. I have a special interest in using EMDR because it can reduce the number of sessions required to see positive results by resolving the impact of past traumas and allowing clients to let go of painful feelings so that they can move forward with their life.
